treat for shirley

Shirley has been pretty good recently (and we are STILL battling fleas, so I feel sorry for her).  So, I got her a treat this weekend.  🙂

Before I even go the bone out of the bag, she knew what it was!

She begged on her own.  🙂

Receiving treat!

One happy doggie.

nice things

When you have pets, you just cannot have anything nice.   Or at least fur-free.

I bought some throw rugs this weekend.  And of course, the first thing Shirley does is lay on them.

I also put my bed skirt back on my bed, but, like before, it is covered in dog hair once again.   Shirley will lean up against something, then slide down the item she is leaning on and lay down. SO. ANNOYING.

bad bad dog

Shirley has been so bad recently.  She loves tearing up paper from the bathroom trash.

poor fwank

Frank.  You all have read about Frank before.  He is big.  He usually stinks.  And he usually has drool on him.  But, he is super sweet.

This week I brought Shirley over to my parents house whenever we visited.

And sometimes when I bring her over, they like to just hang out with her…and not Frank.  Seeing since he insists on always playing and drooling on Shirley…or us.

At one point Saturday night, we were all outside, except Frank.

note the deer heads in the background. my dad is an avid hunter

We decided to let him out to play after this.  Poor Fwank.

stalker pets

For some reason, Shirley and Lynx feel it necessary that they follow me around the house when I am home.  They are always on the same room as me.  Sometimes I trip over them.  And when I am cooking dinner, they hang out in the kitchen.

Of course you can only see little bits of them because they are always laying far away from each other.  But, ever since Lynx was little, he always hung around Shirley.  He would sometimes even copy the way she was laying.  So, maybe Shirley wants to be close to me, and Lynx wants to be close to her?  Who knows.  Animals are weird.

And where is Luci while all of this goes on?

Who knows.  Probably hiding in her secret cave.

can't touch this.

I got Shirley a bone last night from PetSmart.  Which she ate in like an hour.  She gets so protective over her bones.  At least with the cats around.  They will walk by her and she will growl.  And the cats look at her like, “Shirley, you crazy, we don’t want that nasty bone!”

She is so protective of her bones, that she even puts them in her food to monitor while she eats.

Silly dog.

forgivable friday

Shirley has been getting into the trash again.

And when I ask her if she has been in the trash, she gives me this face:

No, how could I stay mad at that?
